Generostee Creek has been in the Barker family for several generations and they have worked very hard to turn the property into a world-class sporting club. M.D. "Brit" Barker III, Owner and President of Coastal Plains Insurance and Generostee Creek, has traveled extensively to some of the finest resorts and clubs both domestically and abroad and has applied this knowledge and experience to Generostee Creek. Located in the foothills of South Carolina, Generostee Creek consists of 600 acres of uninterrupted southern beauty with natural habitat for whitetail deer, ducks, wild turkey, doves, quail, and many other species. The property includes an Orvis endorsed dog kennel, horse stables, sporting clays, shooting range, and fish ponds. Generostee Creek offers a variety of challenging outdoor experiences within the comfort and safety of one property.
Our full time staff members maintain Generostee Creek year round, ensuring it is in peak condition every season. Chris Heintze, Plantation Manager, has been with Generostee Creek for 2 years and has experience with all the aspects of maintaining and running a private sporting club of this scale. Chris also teaches a beginning archery and hunting class at Clemson University. He has been an avid outdoorsman most of his life and enjoys teaching others the skills and knowledge that he has accrued in his time in the outdoors. Chef Joe McSherry has 30 plus years experience as a professional chef. He is well skilled in all aspects of the culinary arts, especially in wild game preparation. Jeremy Bryson is also on staff and has an extensive background in firearm safety and hunting techniques.
We offer private memberships to our club that consist of full access to the property 365 days out of the year and accommodations at our Owner's Lodge.
